Have just launched online booking for Skinny Tyres using the WordPress E-Commerce plug-in. It comes will a reasonable set of configurable options meaning it can be pressed into a variety of uses. By default it integrates with PayPal and Google Checkout, but for a fee of about $200 it can be tied in with other payment gateways such as Sage Pay. Will be monitoring its usability before unrolling onto other sites.
Launched this week is Avon’s ‘Win a Mortgage‘ competition site. Project Managed for Maglabs and developed by Fresh Monkey participants with both parts of a prize code can check to see if they have won their mortgage (for a year), a second prizes worth £1000 or a variety of promotional vouchers.
Delivered on time and to budget it has exceeded the client’s expectation and is an illustration of how all projects could be.

This month’s Men’s Fitness magazine features one of my images from Knoydart. Druim a’ Choire Odhair and Barrisdale Bay shot from the top of Ladhar Bheinn used over two pages to illustrate one of the best wild walks in the country (p 58/59 in case you are looking for it). The route was described by Stevie Christie of Wilderness Jounrneys and director of the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival. Small world indeed!

Yesterday I attended a Cycle Leader Training course at The Bike Station. Organised by Greener Leith the aim is to start running adult cycling proficiency and Sunday rides in and around Leith to promote and encourage more cycling.
This morning I finally took up residence of my desk in a shared office space in the the centre of Edinburgh. After 7 years of working from a home office this feels like a big step, but friendly faces have helped make it a smooth transition. Will be interesting to see what it does to my efficiency / productivity / spend on sandwiches!

James Baxter has just completed his epic ski through and paddle around Norway. He start on January 1st and has been on the go since then. Hat’s off to him on such an outstanding venture – plus raising money for a very worthy cause (there’s still time to donate).
